![]() The show is never fazed by her deafness it never comments on it or degrades her in any way for it. This was so important and the fact that she’s the general of the army is huge. My Deaf West Spring Awakening phase gave me a huge appreciation for (A)SL and how beautiful of a language it is (and also awareness of the HOH community). When I first realised she was signing I actually teared up. Obligatory first on the list because she’s the mainest main female character. Strong Scottish accent that to be honest is a little weird for a while (none of the other elves have Scottish accents). Snippy, practical, willing to lose a slowly asphyxiating hand in order to save the human prince she was supposed to kill. ![]() It’s well written and delivered in bite-size episodes, and its.
